Meet Chorizo, the boa! Chorizo is around 8 years old and 4.5 feet long. They have beautiful iridescent scales and vivid grey eyes.

Chorizo arrived into our care with a rather spicy attitude. However, after lots of love, food, and handling sessions, Chorizo’s heat level has gone from spicy to mild! Chorizo does well with handling and even has come to several of our educational events and programs. They are a favorite of many of our volunteers for their intelligent and curious personality.

While Chorizo can still be nervous from time to time, they are a great communicator and will let you know with body language and huffs/hisses when they aren’t in the mood for handling.

Chorizo is around 8 years old but has still been growing while they have been in our care! They would thrive in a home that can provide them with a minimum enclosure space of 6’x2’x2’ and plenty of attention so they can continue to their handling progress.
