Meet Chorizo, the boa!

Chorizo arrived into our care with a rather spicy attitude. However, after lots of love, food, and handling sessions, Chorizo’s heat level has gone from spicy to mild! Chorizo now does well with handling and even has come to several of our educational events and programs.

While Chorizo can still be nervous from time to time, they are a great communicator and will let you know when they aren’t in the mood for handling. They have a strong feeding response and never miss a meal!

Chorizo is around 8 years old but has still been growing while they have been in our care! They would thrive in a home that can provide them with a minimum enclosure space of 6’x2’x2’ and plenty of attention so they can continue to their handling progress.
