Meet the Bands

"The Catcalls’ self-titled EP not only accurately translates their raucous live performances to record, but also puts them at the forefront of cool, bluesy Colorado rock with an attitude that the scene so desperately needs."

- Bandwagon Magazine

If anyone in Colorado knows how to put on a show, it's The Catcalls with their electrifying presence and how the band "stylishly blends blues with the dustier side of Rock and a gritty, subversive attitude" (Denver Westword).

They light up the stage with all fire and no apologies. Since releasing their debut EP, their music has garnered attention from Relix Magazine, Denver Westword, Bandwagon Magazine, and more as well as heard on the airwaves of The Colorado Sound, KRFC, KGNU, and more. The Catcalls put on a dynamic show that all generations can appreciate honoring the past, present, and future of blues.

Cactus Cat is a mellow, weaving, surf-tinged, psychedelic ride. Featuring lush vocals, dual saxophones, jamming guitar, a tight rhythm section, and a pedal-heavy ukulele, expect danceable grooves, instrumental adventures, and thoughtful lyrics.

Occasionally departing from self-contained bops to expansive effects-laden jams before snapping sharply back into focus, Cactus Cat always lands on its feet.

Oh, and watch out for the spikes.

"The cactus cat has thorny hair, the thorns being especially long and rigid on its ears. Its tail is branched, and upon the forearms above its front feet are sharp, knifelike blades of bone. With these blades it slashes the base of giant cactus trees, causing the sap to exude. This is done systematically, many trees being slashed in the course of several nights as the cat makes a big circuit. By the time it is back to the place of beginning the sap of the first cactus has fermented into a kind of mescal, sweet and very intoxicating. This is greedily lapped up by the thirsty beast, which soon becomes fiddling drunk, and goes waltzing off in the moonlight, rasping its bony forearms across each other and screaming with delight."

-Fearsome Creatures of the Lumberwoods, With a Few Desert and Mountain Beasts, 1910

HYGEIA is a four piece progressive hard-rock band based in Fort Collins, Colorado. Their sound is created by lead vocalist Hannah Rust, guitarist Bran Schneider, bassist Lou Flores, and drummer Thomas Culp, each with unique backgrounds in performance. HYGEIA focuses on genre-bending sounds from energetic rock/metal to ballad-like acoustics.

Tarot Readings

Come get a FREE tarot reading at the Creature Concert!

Melissa the Self Care Witch will guide your journey through the cards on March 25th. Their approach to self care through metaphysical practice provides a unique perspective when reading:

“Rather than looking to the Tarot to read the future, I take a Soul Tarot approach, where we focus on the Now. What medicine are we needing Now? What are we needing to anchor into Now? What are we missing Now?”
